Ace is unusual. Having trained twice in photography, initially as press photographer and latterly as an advertising photographer. His press experience was in both local and national newspapers and a Fleet Street agency. Disillusioned with the ethics of the national press, James retrained as a commercial photographer, specialising in photography for the healthcare industry, setting up his own business in 1984. He works from his Berkshire studio or on location both in this country and abroad.
